Introduction
Please find below a breakdown of all of the ad configurations that CreativeX is currently able to support and those that we are not.
The reasons for this will differ from one channel to the next, but you'll be able to look at each one to determine what is or isn't supported right now.
Meta's Supported Configurations
Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, Messenger
Meta uses a combination of Ad Objectives, Ad Placements, and Ad Formats as part of its Ad creation process which makes it difficult to determine every possible combination of attributes, but we’re constantly adding/validating new ad configurations.
Here’s what we know right now:
- Image Ads
- Image ads allow you to show off your product, service or brand using a single photo and an optional footer.
- Known unsupported configurations: Panoramas, 360 Photos, Dynamic Creatives, Instant Experiences
- Video Ads
- Video ads allow you to show off your product, service or brand using a video.
- Known unsupported configurations: 360 Videos, Dynamic Creatives, Instant Experiences
- Carousel Ads
- The carousel format lets you show 2 or more images and/or videos in a single ad, each with its own headline, description, link and call to action.
- Known unsupported configurations: Dynamic Creatives, Instant Experiences, currently only capture the first asset
- Collection Ads
- The collection format includes a cover image or video with multiple products shown underneath.
- Known unsupported configurations: Dynamic Creatives, Instant Experiences, currently only capture the first asset
- Event Ads
- After you create an event, you can promote it with an event ad to drive attendance and increase ticket sales.
- Promoted Page Ads
- Page promotions are Facebook ads you create directly from your business Page, in contrast to ads you can create in Ads Manager.
- Boosted Post Ads
- Boosted posts are ads you create from posts on your Facebook Page. Boosting a post can help you get more messages, video views, leads or calls.
Google's Supported Configurations
Display & Video 360 and Google Ads
Currently, we only support YouTube Ads via DV360 and Google Ads but are in the process of expanding our offerings to include other formats and placements.
YouTube uses a combination of Campaign Objectives, Campaign Types, and Ad Formats as part of its Ad creation process. This makes it difficult to determine every possible combination of attributes, but we’re constantly adding/validating new ad configurations.
Here’s what we know right now:
- Skippable (TrueView) In-Stream Ads
- Your video ad plays before, during, or after other videos. After 5 seconds, the viewer has the option to skip the ad.
- Exceptions: Ad Sequences (not currently supported by Partner API), other custom configurations may not be supported
- In-Feed Video Ads
- In-feed video ads consist of a thumbnail image from your video with some text. They always invite people to click to watch the video, which then plays on the YouTube watch page or channel homepage.
- Exceptions: Certain custom configurations may not be supported
- Bumper Ads
- Bumper ads are 6 seconds or shorter and play before, during, or after another video. Viewers do not have the option to skip the ad.
- Exceptions: Ad Sequences (not currently supported by Partner API), other custom configurations may not be supported
- Non-Skippable In-Stream Ads
- Non-skippable in-stream ads are between 6 and 15 seconds and play before, during, or after another video.
- Exceptions: Ad Sequences (not currently supported by Partner API), other custom configurations may not be supported
- Efficient Reach
- Non-skippable in-stream ads are between 6 and 15 seconds and play before, during, or after another video.
- Exceptions: Certain custom configurations may not be supported
Unsupported Google Configurations
- Display Ads (Coming soon)
- Archived Ads (Can unarchive if less than 6 months old)
- Ad Sequencing
- Reserved Placements (Ad Select and Ad Auction)
- For GoogleAds Campaign Types: Performance Max, Display, Search, Shopping, Local, Smart, Discovery, App
TikTok's Supported Configurations
- In-Feed Video Ads
- Video Ads are videos that are 5-60s in length.
- Spark Ads
- Spark Ads are native ads. You can publish organic TikTok posts from your accounts or others as ads.
Unsupported TikTok Configurations
- Image Ads
- Playable Ads
- Carousel Ads
- Collection Ads
Twitter's Supported Configurations
- Image Ads for Promoted Ads
- Image Ads allow you to showcase your brand, product, or service with a single photo.
- Video Ads for Promoted Ads
- Video Ads allow you to showcase your brand, product or service and bring them to life through video.
Unsupported Twitter Configurations
- Text Ads for Promoted Ads
Snapchat's Supported Configurations
- Single Image or Video Ad (Snap Ad)
- A Single Image or Video ad is a full-screen mobile ad that can be used for all business objectives, from awareness all the way through to purchase.
- Single Image or Video Ad (Snap Ad) with attachment
- You can add an attachment to your image or video so your audience can take action immediately — like visiting your website or installing your app.
- Filters
- Filters are artistic overlays that appear after you take a Snap and swipe left or right. They can contain stylized text and images that convey where the Snap was taken, like a city, shop, restaurant, event, etc.
- Commercials
- Commercials are non-skippable six-second video ads. Commercials appear within Snapchat’s Curated Content and games.
