Can I set rules for having a specific call-to-action (CTA) in my creative?

You can set up a rule to track whether your creative includes a call to action. Our system can analyze the presence of a call to action in 3 ways:

CTA Placement Description Platforms Available Campaign Status
CTA in the Creative The call to action is overlaid in the creative file itself (the image or video), using as a super or text overlay.  All platforms Can be checked for either in-flight or pre-flight ads
CTA in the Copy There's a call to action in the copy accompanying your ad.  All platforms Can be checked for in-flight ads only. 
CTA in the Ad Campaign Setup On platforms like Facebook and Instagram, you can overlay a call to action button when setting up your campaign. Our system can determine if the ad campaign was setup with a CTA button overlay during the ad setup process.  Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter only.  Can be checked for in-flight ads only.  

 

If you're looking to evaluate for the presence of a CTA in the creative or ad copy, you can specify the specific CTAs that are acceptable for your brand or for a specific campaign objective (i.e. buy now, click here, get discount). 

If you're evaluating whether a CTA was included during the ad campaign setup process, you can choose from one of 2 options: 

  1. Any CTA button is acceptable.
    • As long as a CTA button is present, the creative meets the CTA criteria. 
    • Available for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  2. Select the CTA button(s) that represent acceptable calls to action for your brand.
    • Currently available for Facebook and Instagram only.

The list of available CTAs to choose from on Facebook and Instagram are below and you can choose one or a range of CTAs that meet your campaign goals (Please note this can be further customized by your campaign objective so specific CTAs are permissible for set campaign objective types i.e. Watch More for Brand Awareness campaigns or Buy Now for Conversion campaigns).
