When a Meta ad account disconnects from CreativeX, data collection stops. Reports no longer reflect current performance, and your team loses visibility into live campaigns.
This guide explains how to reconnect your Meta ad account using either the OAuth method or the Partner Flow method, so CreativeX can resume data collection and restore your reporting.
Before you begin
Before you start, confirm that you have the correct permissions in Meta Business Manager.
You must have Full Control of the Business Manager
You can review or update permissions directly in Facebook Business Manager
Option 1: Reconnect via OAuth (recommended)
This method works best for most users and provides a guided reconnection flow.
Step 1: Log in to CreativeX
Enter your credentials and access your CreativeX dashboard
Step 2: Open Ad Accounts
Navigate to the Ad Accounts page from the main menu
Step 3: Find the lapsed account
Search for the relevant ad account and select Activate
Step 4: Follow the reconnection prompts
CreativeX will guide you through a step-by-step reconnection flow
Step 5: Log in to Meta
When prompted, sign in to your Facebook account
Step 6: Select Business Managers
Choose which Business Managers you want CreativeX to access
CreativeX will only collect data from the managers you approve
Make sure you select all relevant accounts to avoid gaps in reporting
Once complete, CreativeX will reconnect your Meta account and resume data collection.
Option 2: Reconnect via Partner Flow
Use this method if your organization manages access through Business Manager partnerships.
Step 1: Add CreativeX as a partner in Meta
Before you reconnect, you must first grant CreativeX access:
Business Manager ID: 251399878599777
Grant Insights or View Performance access only
This step allows CreativeX to read performance data without modifying your account.
Step 2: Log in to CreativeX
Access your account using your credentials
Step 3: Open Ad Accounts
Navigate to the Ad Accounts page
Step 4: Find the lapsed account
Search for the account and select Activate
Step 5: Complete the reconnection
Follow the prompts to finalize the connection
Once complete, the account will move to the Active tab and data collection will resume.
Troubleshooting
I do not see the Activate button
Check your permissions in CreativeX and Meta Business Manager. You may not have the required access.
The reconnection flow fails during login
Make sure you are logged into the correct Facebook account with Full Control permissions.
I cannot see all Business Managers during OAuth
Confirm that your Facebook user has access to those Business Managers. Missing access will prevent selection.
My account reconnects but data is missing
Review which Business Managers you approved during setup. CreativeX only collects data from selected managers.
