Reconnect a Snapchat Ad Account in CreativeX

When a Snapchat ad account disconnects from CreativeX, your data flow stops. Reports no longer reflect current activity, and your team loses visibility into live performance.

This guide explains how to reconnect your Snapchat ad account so CreativeX can resume data collection and restore your reporting.


Before you begin

Before you start, confirm you have the correct access. Without the right permissions, the reconnection will fail.

  • Admin access: You must have admin access to the Snapchat ad account

  • Correct login: Make sure you are signed into the correct Snapchat Business account

These checks prevent the most common authentication errors.


Reconnect your Snapchat ad account

Follow these steps to restore your connection:

  1. Log in to CreativeX
    Go to app.creativex.com and sign in with your credentials

  2. Open Ad Accounts
    From your dashboard, navigate to the Ad Accounts section

  3. Find the lapsed Snapchat account
    Select the Needs Connecting tab or search using the account ID

  4. Start the reconnection
    Locate the correct account, select the three dots on the right side, and choose Activate

  5. Authenticate with Snapchat
    You will be redirected to Snapchat’s login page

  6. Sign in and approve access
    Enter your Snapchat Business credentials and approve the requested permissions to authorize CreativeX

After you complete these steps, CreativeX will reconnect to your Snapchat account and resume data collection. The account will then appear under the Active tab.


What to expect after reconnection

Once the connection is restored:

  • CreativeX resumes data collection from Snapchat

  • Your reports begin to reflect the latest available activity

  • The account status updates from Needs Connecting to Active

Depending on platform processing times, it may take a short period for all recent data to appear.


Troubleshooting

I cannot see the Snapchat account in the Needs Connecting tab
Check your permissions in CreativeX. You may not have access to that account, or the account may already be active.

The Activate option does not work
Confirm that you have admin access to the Snapchat ad account. Without admin permissions, the platform will not allow reconnection.

I see an authentication error on Snapchat
Make sure you are logged into the correct Snapchat Business account. If you manage multiple accounts, log out and sign in again with the correct credentials.

The account still shows as lapsed after I reconnect
Review the permission prompts carefully and ensure you approved all required access. Missing permissions can prevent the connection from completing.

My data has not updated after reconnection
Allow some time for CreativeX to refresh the data. Then confirm that the account appears under the Active tab.
