Link Facebook Pages to CreativeX via OAuth

This setup matters because CreativeX needs access to your Facebook Pages to pull in video content across your ad accounts. Without that video source, CreativeX cannot download and analyze the asset, which means it cannot calculate a complete Creative Quality Score.

Before you begin

Before you start, confirm that you have Full Control in Facebook Business Manager. CreativeX requires that level of access for the OAuth page-linking flow. If you do not have it, the connection may fail or the correct Business Managers and Pages may not appear.

If you do not have these permissions, or if you are not sure who owns your organization’s Brand Pages, contact support@creativex.com before you continue.

Link your Facebook Pages

Follow these steps to connect your Pages in CreativeX:

  1. Log in to CreativeX
Open CreativeX and look for Connections in the side menu.

  2. Open Link New Account
Expand Connections, then select Link New Account.

  3. Choose Facebook Pages
Under Supporting Connections, select Facebook Pages.

  4. Sign in to Facebook
When prompted, sign in with your Facebook account. CreativeX will then show all Business Managers that your Facebook user can access. CreativeX can only collect data from the Business Managers you choose in this step.

  5. Review the permissions
Keep the listed permissions as they appear. These permissions are standard from Meta and fall under your company’s data-sharing agreement with CreativeX. They give CreativeX read-only access to asset and performance information.

  6. Select the Business Managers you need
Once you identify the correct Business Manager or Business Managers, confirm your selection.

  7. Select the Brand Pages to link
Choose the Pages from the populated list, then select Continue. CreativeX recommends bulk-selecting all relevant Pages so your organization has full data coverage.

  8. Review the summary
The summary page will show whether CreativeX has detected accounts associated with an already linked ad account. Review the details carefully before you finish.

  9. Confirm the connection
Once you are happy with the selections, confirm them to complete the linking process. You can always return later and link additional Pages if needed.

Once complete, your Facebook Pages will be linked to CreativeX.

What to expect after linking

After a successful setup:

  • CreativeX can pull in video content from the linked Facebook Pages

  • CreativeX can use that video source to analyze assets and calculate Creative Quality Score more completely

  • You can review required pages for your organization in the Data Coverage overview

  • You can also review Connected and Missing Pages in the Brand Pages section of the Ad Accounts area to see what still needs attention

This is one of those setup steps that quietly fixes a lot of downstream reporting issues.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the Business Manager I need
Your Facebook user may not have access to that Business Manager, or you may not have Full Control. Sign in with the correct Facebook account and try again.

I do not see the Brand Pages I expected
Check whether you selected the correct Business Manager during setup. If the wrong manager is selected, the related Pages will not appear. This can also happen if you do not have the right permissions.

My video creative is still missing after I connected ad accounts
Facebook ad account linking and Facebook Page linking are separate steps. CreativeX needs the Page connection to pull in all video content for analysis.

I am not sure which Pages to select
Select all relevant Pages where possible. CreativeX recommends bulk selection to avoid gaps in coverage.

I do not have admin-level permissions
Contact the brand team that owns the Pages and ask them to grant access or complete the setup themselves.

I linked some Pages, but others still show as missing
Use the Data Coverage overview and the Brand Pages section in Ad Accounts to identify which Pages still need action.
