Connecting your Pinterest ad account to CreativeX allows your team to measure creative quality, track performance, and understand how content performs across campaigns and markets.
Once connected, CreativeX pulls in your Pinterest ad data and applies creative analysis so you can improve performance and align with best practices.
Before you begin
Before you start, confirm that your setup meets the required conditions.
- Your organization must have Pinterest guidelines configured in CreativeX
- You must have access to the Pinterest Ads account you want to connect
If Pinterest guidelines are not set up, creatives will not appear in your dashboard even after a successful connection.
Connect your Pinterest ad account
Follow these steps to link your account:
Step 1: Log in to CreativeX
Access your CreativeX dashboard using your credentials
Step 2: Open account linking
Navigate to Ad Accounts Linking in the platform
Step 3: Select Pinterest
Choose Pinterest Ads from the list of available platforms
Step 4: Log in to Pinterest
Enter your Pinterest credentials
Grant CreativeX permission to access your Pinterest Ads data
Step 5: Select accounts to connect
After login, a list of available Pinterest ad accounts will appear
- Select the accounts you want to connect

Make sure you include all relevant accounts to avoid gaps in reporting
Step 6: Map your accounts
For each account, assign the correct:
- Brand
- Market
- Partner
- The Partner usually represents your organization or account owner

This contact may also act as the point of contact for troubleshooting
If a Brand or Partner option is missing, contact support to have it added
Step 7: Review and confirm
Double-check your selections
If everything looks correct, click Confirm to complete the connection
Once complete, CreativeX will begin collecting data from your Pinterest account.
What to expect after connection
After a successful connection:
- CreativeX begins data collection from Pinterest
- Your reports start to reflect campaign activity
- Your Pinterest creatives appear in the dashboard (if guidelines are configured)
It may take a short period for all data to appear depending on platform processing times.
Troubleshooting
I connected my account but do not see any creatives
Check that Pinterest guidelines are set up in CreativeX. Without them, creatives will not appear.
I cannot log in to Pinterest during setup
Confirm that you are using the correct account with access to the ad accounts.
I do not see all my Pinterest ad accounts
Your Pinterest user may not have access to those accounts. Check permissions in Pinterest Ads Manager.
I am unsure how to map Brand, Market, or Partner
Check with your internal team. If options are missing, contact support to add them.
The connection completes but data is missing
Make sure you selected all relevant ad accounts during setup. Unselected accounts will not send data to CreativeX.
I selected the wrong accounts or mappings
Reconnect the account and update your selections, or contact support for assistance.
