What are my brand's guidelines and what do they mean?

When you launch a new video campaign, you need a clear checklist to guarantee digital success. Guidelines act as these exact parameters. They provide a binary method to assess your posts and ensure they align with the best practices that your internal leaders establish. Let's explore how to locate and understand the specific rules applied to your campaigns.

Step 1: Locate Your Guidelines

To view the specific rules tracked by your organization, navigate to the Reference menu in your dashboard sidebar and select Guidelines. This central hub houses every active rule.

Step 2: Understand the Definitions

A guideline provides a clear, binary assessment (pass or fail) tied to a specific goal. For example, a rule might ask, "Is the brand logo present within the first five seconds of the video?" If the creative meets this exact criteria, it passes. On the Guidelines page, you can select any individual rule to view its specific definition, the channels it applies to, and the specific markets or brands it impacts. Read our guide to learn more about guideline definitions and unique variations.

Step 3: Review Guideline Origins

CreativeX does not dictate your brand rules. Your organizational lead develops these definitions internally, and our system simply automates the evaluation process to track compliance. If you have questions about why a specific rule exists or how it was developed, you must consult your internal team. Our support staff can connect you with the correct internal contact if needed.

Troubleshooting

Did you encounter a roadblock with your brand rules?

  • Absent Guidelines: If your expected rules fail to appear on the dashboard, your current role might restrict your visibility to specific brands or markets. Review our guide on the different user access and permission levels to understand your exact access limits.
  • Incorrect Evaluations: If you believe an asset failed a rule incorrectly, you can flag the result for a manual review. Read our guide to learn how to resolve incorrect scores.
