CreativeX lets you assess your creative against what matters most to your organisation. To help you see exactly what's being scored and against which guidelines, head over to the Score Reference page.
Step 1: Open your Score Reference page
Go to Reference > Scores, then click View Details on the score you want to see.
Step 2: Review the Score Configuration
The first thing you'll see is the Score Configuration overview. This shows your score broken down into different groups of guidelines — for example, one row per channel (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, and so on), each showing how many guidelines it contains.
- Click any row to expand it and see its Filtering Rules - the criteria that define that group (for example, Channel: Instagram Ads) - followed by its Guidelines & Weights table, listing each guideline with its weight and percentage of the total.
Step 3: Compare guidelines side by side in the Matrix View
The Matrix View toggle is in the top right of the Score Configuration overview. Switch it on for a clear, side-by-side comparison of every guideline and how it differs across the parameters you've set.
If your score is segmented into more than two groups, you may also see a Default group. This is the catch-all for anything that doesn't fall into one of your defined groups - for instance, a market that wasn't specifically listed - and, unlike the other groups, it has no filtering rule of its own. Not every score has a Default group.
Step 4: Understand the difference between a dash and 0%
On the Matrix View, you'll see two different symbols used where a guideline doesn't count toward your score — a dash and a value of 0%. They mean different things:
Symbol |
What it means |
What happens to your creative |
|---|---|---|
| — (dash) | The guideline does not apply to this group. | Your creative is not tested against this guideline at all. For example, a dash under Google Ads for “Brand Audio Mention” means that guideline is never assessed on Google Ads. |
| 0% | The guideline is unweighted - a hypothesis. | Your creative is still tested and receives a pass/fail result, but that result doesn't affect your overall score. |
Step 5: Check your Tiers
You'll find Tiers as its own row at the bottom of the Score Configuration card — click it to expand and see your tier bands (for example, Needs Work, On Track, and Excellent), each with its score range, rather than in a separate tab.
Troubleshooting
Why doesn't my score match what I see on the Matrix View?
The Matrix View doesn't change your score - it's simply a new way of viewing the guideline setup you already have. If you think your score has changed unexpectedly, please reach out to your Client Success Manager.
A guideline seems to be missing for one of my channels or markets. Is that a mistake?
Check whether it's shown as a dash or as 0% in the Matrix View. A dash means the guideline simply doesn't apply to that group. A 0% means it's still being tested as a hypothesis - it just isn't counted toward your score. See Step 4 above.
I used to export a score for each individual placement. Why don't I see that anymore?
With this update, placement-level exports show the post-level score rather than a separate score per placement. You can still see and report on individual guideline results at the placement level. If you rely on placement-level scores for reporting, please contact your Client Success Manager, who can talk you through the best way to get the same insight.
