How can I give multiple users access to CreativeX?

When your company expands its CreativeX rollout, you might need to grant platform access to fifty team members worldwide by tomorrow. Do not worry about individual invites! The Bulk Invite tool allows you to easily grant access to entire groups at once. Let's walk through the steps to get your team onboarded quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Locate the Bulk Invite Tool

To start, navigate to the Company section in the sidebar of your dashboard. If you see multiple options, select Users, and then click the “Invite Users” button. From there, select the Bulk Invite tab.

Step 2: Complete the Template

To send the invitations, you must first fill out the user details in our standard template. Download the provided .xlsx file or create a copy of it in Google Sheets. Add each person's details, dedicating one row per user.

  • Match the Spelling: Ensure the Partner name matches the exact spelling found in the Partner filter on the dashboard to ensure the system accepts the upload.
  • Permission Limits: You can only grant access up to the same tier as your own account. To better understand these tiers, review the different user access and permission levels.

Step 3: Export to CSV

You must convert your completed file into a .csv format before submission. The system will reject standard Excel or Numbers files. Follow these platform-specific steps:

  • Google Sheets: File Download Comma-separated Values (.csv)
  • Excel: File Save As File Format CSV
  • Numbers: File Export To CSV

Step 4: Upload the File

Upload your newly saved .csv file to the dashboard. If the system accepts your upload, a banner appears with the message “Uploading Users. Check Email for Status Update”. You will receive an email shortly thereafter to confirm that your invitations successfully went out.


Step 5: Track User Status

To monitor your new team members, return to the Users table. New invitees appear under the Invited tab initially. Once they log in for the first time, they automatically move over to the Active tab.

Top Tips for Success:

  • Double-check that no empty spaces or special characters (e.g., &, !, ?, #) exist in the Email or Partner fields.
  • The Market Association field simply indicates where a user operates; it does not restrict their access to other markets.
  • If you need to apply specific data restrictions or change their permission level, you must wait until after the bulk invite process finishes.

Troubleshooting

Did you run into an issue with your bulk upload? Check these common scenarios:

  • Malformed CSV File Error: If you see a red banner with the message “MALFORMED CSV FILE”, the system rejected your document format. Ensure you exported the file exactly as a .csv.
  • Missing Partner Name: If an agency or organization does not appear in the drop-down list, an Admin must have a new Partner (Agency) added to CreativeX before you can invite those users.
  • Failed Invites: If a specific invitation fails during the upload, the system will send you an email detailing the error so you can quickly adjust and resubmit.
